The New Mental Fitness Program that Restored Louis Coraggio’s Self-confidence at Midlife

PQ’s (Positive Intelligence) mental fitness program helped me realign my mind after COVID decimated my thriving NYC fitness business. At 44 years old I was filled with waves of optimism and self-doubt as I envisioned rebuilding Body Architect with innovative methods that would restore and support clients wellness goals as well as provide long-lasting results. Ultimately, I earned certifications in health coaching, behavior change and biomechanics. I sensed the road ahead would be demanding and desired a solid positive mindset be the foundation for my new mental home.

Luckily a trusted coach introduced me to Shirzad Chamine’s PQ mental fitness program, designed to increase the mind’s capacity to respond to life’s challenges with a positive rather than a negative mindset. I was intrigued how PQ simplified Neuroscience, Positive Psychology, Cognitive Psychology and Performance Science into an easy-to-apply PQ operating system that has many real life applications. I committed myself to strengthening my mental fitness and valued the process so much that I became a PQ coach! PQ’s six week app guided course strengthens three mental muscles and shifts the balance of power from your inner Saboteur’s self-limited mindset to your inner Sage’s power-driven mindset. Prior to joining PQ I took Shirzad’s free Saboteur assessment, which reveals your highest-ranking accomplice Saboteurs, each of the nine represents an automated reactionary pattern for how we think, feel, and respond. I found my results highly accurate, as did the friends and clients I recommended it to.

Through a breakthrough process called PQ Reps, I learned how to boost my Self-Command muscle. Some PQ Reps take as little as 10 seconds and can be done with your eyes open or closed. With each PQ Rep, I developed greater mastery over my mind, quieting the negative, and activating the positive regions of my brain. Occasionally, I monitored my progress by taking Shirzad’s free PQ Score assessment, which measures the relative strength of your positive versus negative mental muscles.

By week three I began energizing my Saboteur Interceptor muscle, which exposes the lies, limiting beliefs and damaging effects of mind chatter before thoughts, feelings and actions might be hijacked. I learned the Judge is viewed as the universal Saboteur and causes much of our disappointment, anger, regret, guilt, shame and anxiety.

Shirzad says; “It’s wise to take your internal enemies seriously. Your Saboteurs develop at a young age and are rooted in survival mode”. I found this eye opening as I distinctly remembered my Judge forming at the young age of four when my mother passed away. PQ has given me the ability to mindfully dissociate myself from decades of Saboteur thinking and shift to fueling my Sage muscle, a perspective that views undesirable situations can be turned into a gift and opportunity. At first this sounded absurd to me, however with each fork in the road I performed PQ reps, which formed new neural pathways, and made it easier to access my Sage’s great super powers and the three gifts technique.

The gift of Knowledge; what knowledge would I need to gain, so the pay off in the future would be much larger than it’s costing me now?

The gift of Power; to see a problem as a weight in a gym and access the Sage’s five great powers; Empathize, Explore, Innovate, Navigate and Activate. The gift of Inspiration; to commit to an inspiring new action that I wouldn’t have had if this unwanted thing hadn’t happened.
